Women Alike Abreast a River Dragon Boat Team helps women living with breast cancer understand that they can lead full, active lives despite the physical limitations imposed by this disease. The race for a cure continues.
Nova Scotia Special Olympics uses sport to assist people with a mental disability to become all that they can be – physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally – and to become accepted, respected and productive members of society. Their mission is to ensure that a full continuum of sport opportunities is available to people with a mental disability.
Nova Scotia Amateur Sport Fund (SportFund) supports programs that assist in athlete and coach development, giving more Nova Scotians an opportunity to participate and benefit from involvement in amateur sport. Their goal is to promote the physical, social and economic advantages of amateur sport while ensuring equal access to all.
