Race on the River: Community Launch
Don't forget your bathing suit!

The entire community is invited to the launch of a new event happening this summer. "Race on the River: Pictou County Dragon Boat Festival" will be held August 23rd and 24th on the riverfront in New Glasgow. Its purpose is to create awareness while raising money for the Nova Scotia Amateur Sport Fund, Pictou County Special Olympics and the Women Alike Abreast A River Dragon Boat Team. Three organizations whose common goal is participation!

To find out more about the first Dragon Boat race in Nova Scotia to be held outside of Halifax, come to the launch which is being hosted by the Fisheries Training Pool in Pictou on Sunday, April 28th at 4:00 pm. Those attending will have the opportunity to meet representatives from each group, learn more about dragon boats AND participate in a free Aquafit class which will begin immediately following the brief presentations.
